《 現代寓言故事|陳達飛 個展 》
我從小就是一個孤僻的人,習慣以旁觀者的角度去觀察世界。人文社會科學的求學背景,培養了我質疑與批判的思維,也深深影響了我的創作方式。
我的創作之路始於攝影,但隨著實踐的深入,我逐漸意識到攝影在表現自由度上有所侷限。轉向繪畫後,我開始更自由地探索主題與形式。相較於攝影中對現實的再現,繪畫中的形象、色彩與筆觸,不僅能指涉具體事件,也能蘊含更豐富的情感與隱喻。
安迪・沃荷曾說:「在未來,每個人都能成名15分鐘。」在這個自媒體快速發展的時代,各類影音平台為人們提供了無數抓住大眾目光的機會。「爆紅」與「炎上」不再只是偶然事件,而是某種可預見的現象,也印證了沃荷的預言。
我近期的創作系列以兩個關鍵元素為核心:自拍(selfie)與爆炸。
對我而言,自拍是一種將個體從觀者轉化為參與者的行為。藉由「我在這裡」的姿態,自拍者宣告了自己在特定時空中不可忽視的存在。社群媒體的崛起,進一步讓自拍成為獲得關注甚至商機的途徑。
而爆炸,無論是人為戰爭還是自然災害,始終是一種非日常、充滿威脅的場景。我讓自拍者置身其中,正是為了強調「爆紅」在這個時代的矛盾性:它既具誘惑性,也潛藏毀滅的風險。爆紅如同爆炸,驚天動地、但也曇花一現。
我的作品,試圖在這些張力中找尋新的觀看與思考的可能。

I have always been a solitary person, accustomed to observing the world from the perspective of a bystander. My academic background in the humanities and social sciences has shaped a mindset rooted in skepticism and critical thinking—qualities that deeply influence my artistic practice.
I first began creating through the medium of photography. However, over time, I came to feel that photography imposed certain limitations on expressive freedom. Painting, by contrast, has allowed me greater liberty in exploring themes and forms. Beyond representational imagery, elements such as color and brushwork in painting can also serve as emotional and symbolic gestures.
Andy Warhol once said, “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” We are now living in that future—a time when digital and social media platforms offer endless opportunities to capture public attention. The phenomena of sudden viral fame or public backlash have become not only common but almost predictable, echoing Warhol’s prophecy.
In my recent body of work, two recurring elements emerge: the selfie and the explosion.
To me, the act of taking a selfie signifies a shift from being a passive observer to becoming an active participant. It is a way of declaring “I am here,” asserting one’s presence within a particular space or event. The rise of social media has made the selfie not only a tool for visibility, but also a potential gateway to recognition and commercial opportunity.
Explosions—whether caused by war or natural disasters—represent scenes of rupture, danger, and the extraordinary. By placing the selfie-taker within these catastrophic contexts, I aim to highlight the paradoxical allure of viral fame in the digital age: it is seductive, yet potentially destructive. Going viral, like an explosion, is dramatic and overwhelming—but ultimately fleeting.
Through this tension, my work seeks to open up new ways of seeing and thinking about identity, presence, and spectacle in contemporary life.
